Jim Alexander Presents at Marion County Board of Commissioners Meeting

Tuesday, 20 December 2011 05:09 by SFSI

Today, SFSI Vice President and General Contractor, Jim Alexander, gave a presentation at the monthly Marion County Board of Commissioners meeting to propose the feasibility of requiring licensed geologists and engineers to obtain a building permit prior to conducting sinkhole investigations on properties.

Requiring an investigative permit would make the following information known publicly:

  • Is sinkhole activity a contributing factor to the damage that is occurring to the structure?
  • What remedial measures and are necessary to properly repair the structure?
  • Was the property repaired in accordance with the original recommendation?
  • Was the property repaired at all?
When asked about this system, Mr. Alexander said, "This is an important issue to SFSI, because Marion County is our home community, and we feel that the citizens here should have the same opportunities and access to this type of information as other communities across the state."

To help encourage this discussion, please contact your Marion County Commissioner and ask them to investigate how a sinkhole property tracking system can help protect property owners. For more information about sinkhole repair and how it may affect your property, please contact Secure Foundation Systems, Inc. at (352) 671-9191 or www.securefsi.com.

Dave Toler Retiring After Many Valuable Years of Service to SFSI

Friday, 2 December 2011 02:33 by Ryan Gummer

On November 30th, Dave Toler (Essential Consults, Inc.), sales representative for SFSI, announced to our team that he would be retiring this holiday season. Dave was our first remediation consultant and has provided the vision and support to help train, what we believe to be is, the best consulting team in the sinkhole repair and restoration industry. His commitment and care to our customers is evident in the countless testimonials we have received over his many years of service. A selection of those can found below or view all of our customer testimonials.

Above and beyond anything we could say about Dave as a professional, he is a man of integrity and a great friend.  Dave and his longtime executive assistant, Donna Tooley, will be greatly missed.

Sincerely,

"Just a brief but sincere thanks for the fine job your employees performed in remediating the sinkhole damage to my dwelling. Their professional handling of all aspect of the job made a difficult situation much easier to deal with. Job foremen Eddie, Derek & Joe and their guys were all hard working & very conscientious.

Brianna Harker [SFSI Sales Consultant] was simply awesome from start to finish. I could not have asked for a more patient, knowledgeable nor professional partner for this difficult process. She gained my confidence from our first meeting and only increased it as the process progressed to a satisfying end.

If you ever need a satisfied customer referral here I am."

Mr. Ryan Gummer,

We wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for the service your team provided over the past couple of months. We took our time in determining which company to use once we learned of the possible sinkhole activity under our home. After screening the companies through our research we decided to use Secure Foundation Systems. Although the experience was stressful, your team members were able to answer our questions and ease our concerns.

From the initial meeting with Brianna, to the dealings with the crew members at our home, we had a very pleasant experience. Everyone was polite, knowledgeable and respectful to the fact that we were still trying to live in the home while the work was being completed.

We believe you have surrounded yourself with a great team and encourage you to continue hiring good people. They are your ambassadors out in the field and can make or break your company! Thank you very much for helping our family during this stressful time.

Sincerely,

Mark & Amy B.

SFSI Receives EPA Lead-Safe Certification

Tuesday, 1 March 2011 00:13 by SFSI

Secure Foundation Systems, Inc. is pleased to announce the receipt of our EPA Lead-Safe Certification as required by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

On April 22, 2008, the EPA issued a rule requiring the use of lead-safe work practices aimed at preventing lead poisoning in children. The rule became effective on April 22, 2010, meaning firms performing renovation, repair and painting projects that disturb lead-based paint in homes, child care facilities, and schools built before 1978 must be certified, individual renovators must be trained by an EPA-accredited training provider, and the firms and renovators must follow specific work practices to prevent lead contamination.

“This certification shows the dedication to the safety of our customers and attention to detail that we try to exemplify as a company everyday,” said Ryan Gummer, President of Secure Foundation Systems, Inc.
