Jim Alexander Presents at Marion County Board of Commissioners Meeting

Tuesday, 20 December 2011 05:09 by SFSI

Today, SFSI Vice President and General Contractor, Jim Alexander, gave a presentation at the monthly Marion County Board of Commissioners meeting to propose the feasibility of requiring licensed geologists and engineers to obtain a building permit prior to conducting sinkhole investigations on properties.

Requiring an investigative permit would make the following information known publicly:

  • Is sinkhole activity a contributing factor to the damage that is occurring to the structure?
  • What remedial measures and are necessary to properly repair the structure?
  • Was the property repaired in accordance with the original recommendation?
  • Was the property repaired at all?
When asked about this system, Mr. Alexander said, "This is an important issue to SFSI, because Marion County is our home community, and we feel that the citizens here should have the same opportunities and access to this type of information as other communities across the state."

To help encourage this discussion, please contact your Marion County Commissioner and ask them to investigate how a sinkhole property tracking system can help protect property owners. For more information about sinkhole repair and how it may affect your property, please contact Secure Foundation Systems, Inc. at (352) 671-9191 or www.securefsi.com.

SFSI Launches Spanish Website and Resources

Monday, 14 February 2011 01:54 by SFSI

Secure Foundation Systems Inc. is proud to announce the launch of the Spanish version of our website. Over the years, our website has developed into a very useful resource for property owners and those interested in understanding the effects of sinkholes on their homes or places of business. Not only have we translated our website, but also a number of our printed marketing materials are now in Spanish. Recently, we also added Marisol Justiniano, who speaks Spanish fluently, to our team of remediation consultants.

The addition of these Spanish resources will help us better educate and communicate to those who feel more comfortable speaking and reading in Spanish. In 2000, the U.S. Census Bureau estimated that 23.1% of the residents in Florida spoke a language other than English at home. These numbers certainly include Spanish-speaking individuals and are almost certain to be higher in the upcoming results of the 2010 Census.

“To our knowledge, no sinkhole repair and stabilization contractor in the state offers these types of resources and we look forward to the relationships that these materials will help create,” said Ryan Gummer, President of Secure Foundation Systems Inc.

New Service Information Sheets

Tuesday, 12 January 2010 03:07 by Ryan Gummer

As kids in school, some of us may remember nights where we stayed up all night trying to understand a problem with no success, then the next day when our teacher explained it to us we understood perfectly. We had the text book and the solution in front of us, but we just needed someone to help explain it to us. At Secure Foundation Systems, Inc. we do our best to explain the complex industry of sinkhole and foundation repair in simple and easy ways, to make each of our customers feel comfortable.

One of the ways we achieve this is by presenting information using various methods for all types of customers. Some people might feel comfortable browsing a web page while others might feel more confident sitting at their kitchen table reading a pamphlet or brochure. We strive to give our customers as many options as possible so they can feel confident about choosing SFSI as their sinkhole contractor.

We have recently revised and updated our Service Information Sheets which describe all of the different sinkhole remediation services we offer. I personally oversee the development of all of our information materials to ensure that our customers are getting the most accurate and straightforward content. You can download and learn more about each service by visiting the Our Servies section of our site, or download them from the gallery below.
