SFSI featured on GPRS Website

One of the aspects of our "Secure Advantage" is our commitment to use Innovative Technology in all of our projects. We were recently featured on the website of Ground Penetrating Radar Systems, Inc., when we contracted them to survey a new construction foundation repair. As the article explains, ground penetrating radar (GPR) is used to discover utility lines that reside underneath a structure. Over 1000 sq feet of foundation were surveyed, and GPRS effectively located utility lines, which allowed our crew members to execute this project with precision and the attention to detail that has allowed us to become one of Florida's fastest growing sinkhole repair contractors. We were very pleased with the work and professionalism of GPRS, and we look forward to working with them in the future.

SFSI Driveway Extraction Video

Thursday, 6 May 2010 17:11 by SFSI

Secure Foundation Systems extracted a section of driveway apron that had fallen in a cover collapse sinkhole at a residence in Altamonte Springs, FL.  In a coordinated effort between Secure Foundation Systems, Progress Energy, SDII Global Corporation and Crane Rental Corporation a 9' x 10' piece of reinforced concrete 6" thick at an estimated 7,000 lbs was extracted from the hole to allow for additional observation of the conditions beneath.

The video depicts coring of the slab using a 6" core saw operated by a securely harnessed Secure Foundation Systems employee.  Once the core was created the crane boom was lowered and attached to the slab.  The slab was then extracted to allow access to properly remediate the sinkhole conditions below.

Jim Alexander, SFSI Vice President and General Contractor, (seen in the video) closely supervised the execution of this project.
